Hours, daylight saving and holidays

Canadian Dollar (6C) trades on Chicago Mercantile Exchange, whose trading day is set in America/Chicago time. CME Globex. Sunday open 17:00 CT, Friday close 16:00 CT, 60-minute daily maintenance break. The table shows each session in exchange time, in UTC, and in your own time zone, which your browser supplies.

The exchange schedule is fixed in local time, so its UTC equivalent moves when daylight saving starts or ends. The United States, the United Kingdom and the euro area change their clocks on different dates, which shifts US sessions against European ones by an hour for a few weeks each spring and autumn. The UTC column is calculated for the current week; your local column is recalculated on every visit.

This page shows the regular weekly schedule. Exchanges shorten or close sessions on public holidays and on some days before them, and the expiring contract often stops trading earlier on its last trading day. Check the exchange's holiday calendar before trading around a holiday. A “market open” indicator, where shown, follows the regular schedule only and doesn't know about holidays or halts.
